Christmas Stars

Festive fever sparkles,

shimmering in fine air.

Pavements hum with life;

dancing free of care.

Trees dressed in pride;

decorative by each leaf.

Glinting in white light;

on eye, they shall please.

Goodwill oozing cheer;

tidings to be sweet.

Magic filling rooms;

of Christmas it shall speak.

Presents are heartfelt;

gave by loving hand.

But a gift does outstand,

high above the land.

Gracing winter’s night;

Heaven smiles upon.

Bright is their twinkle;

stars of treasured ones.

Precious as they guide,

splendours loving glow.

On the miles in-between,

dearest ones at home.

Christmas stars pray,

bless you for your sight.

Knowing you are near;

we’ll gaze at those skies.

Promise we will smile,

looking at your light.

Wishing Merry Christmas;

oh stars of the night.
